Joe, if you want to get a kit there is an unmentioned forum member [me] that can build it for you. ;)

After 2 decades, I finally got vinyl in my rig. There was a gentleman who posted "Welcome to the world of vinyl" if you scroll up. I think that's 4 CP members that have been introduced / reintroduced to vinyl recently. Welcome to the world of vinyl to all who have crossed into the darkside.

Bummer I just ordered the kit last night and had the owner of K & K do the work for me. . . $60, oh well, now I know where to go when I need more intricate work done.

Thanks Tom you'll be hearing from me.

    Joe,
The hagerman kit I just built last night sounds great. Up to 26 db of gain, adj loading. Easy build. Works great with the Clamp. Licorish pizza never sounded better. Peace and hair grease.

I was going to go with the Piccolo but it seemed like a lot more circuitry in line and I wanted to go with just a transformer to see how quiet I can get the gain out.

    Thanks anyhoo.

    Joe,

You will be fine and dandy with a good SUT, e.g. K&K. Your only question is whether to build it at 20 or 26db gain. Start with 20db, evaluate, then see if you need to bump it up.
