I installed some big boys today for a customer and thought i would take some pics. Quality is not so good (camera phone). This is my first time installing 1201's and these things are godly along with heavy as hell.

A friend of mine has a similar setup, same mono blocks and speakers minus the center channel."He who fights with monsters should look to it that he himself does not become a monster. And when you gaze long into an abyss the abyss also gazes into you." Friedrich Nietzsche

Very nice setup. Dang those are big and blue displays.

I think the aesthetics on McIntosh gear is hideous but I respect it.CTC BBQ Amplifier, Sonic Frontiers Line3 Pre-Amplifier and Wadia 581 SACD player. Speakers? Always changing but for now, Mission Argonauts I picked up for $50 bucks, mint.

What kind of speakers are those? The center looks like a B&W HTM3, but not sure of the others.

Definitely only a face a mother could love. Still nice gear though.Political Correctness'.........defined

I love McIntosh gear, but even those meters are a little too much for me. Most of their clientele doesn't feel the same though, according to them EVERYTHING McIntosh needs BIG meters. Which is why they produced a turntable with a meter."He who fights with monsters should look to it that he himself does not become a monster. And when you gaze long into an abyss the abyss also gazes into you." Friedrich Nietzsche

What is the off color blue in the McIntosh logo called. It has a sort green hue to it. I don't think funk is a color. LOL

Well, Darla, if the family ends up in Florida to go to Disney, I want a ride in that beast. And I have an 8 year old that would be ahead of me in line.Michael

I like the industrial design of Mac amps. Not because they're gaudy, but because they have a very classic electronic look to them. Most power amps used to have big faces, knobs, and large meters. It's fashionable these days to have lots of billet metal and no indicators or controls of any kind. I don't dig that.
And unlike pimp jewelry like H2s they actually work pretty well.
