My guess is that the mass loading of the PB10 cabinet with the amp is tightening up your bass ;) This might be a tweak that you want to apply for a patent for and charge $250 or so for audiophile consultation :p

A couple of concrete blocks and a couple of short pieces of 1x8 will fix that problem pronto!

If you absolutely must keep that there for let's say a month or so, go to Mapleshade and get these. They will keep you relatively safe and in business for a while and after you move the item to a more appropriate home, you can reuse the Isoblocks.

There was another forum member that had his receiver propped crookedly ontop of a bookshelf speaker.

This isn't nearly as bush-league, but I wouldn't leave it as your long-term solution. But, hell, if it looks okay to you, it's not hurting anything at all.

I would make sure you don't ruin the finish of the sub with the amp sitting on it. But, I'm sure you have some kind of protection inbetween them.

The sub already had some marks on the top, but ...it is what it is
I put the iso feet under it as not to mark it up any more than it already had..

it`s just temparary, as I spent all my $$ on the new amp..!!

I just didn`t want to mess up the new amp , for what ever reason...

Come on Joe, When I crank my system the whole house vibrates, You can go half way down my block and hear Alison Krauss singing. Do you think it really matters if my $80 cabinet is vibrating?

Even if I had a 4" thick slab of marble what does it matter if my amps, CD player & Reciever are vibrating?

Isolation will kill the resounance which will improve the sound of any piece of audio gear.

My floor problem has been resolved. I just pushed the brass and decoupling points down through the plywood plank into the concrete below. Did you really think I was going to live with that the way it was.
