Since I got my new PC up and running, I've started playing a few games. A buddy set me up with Battlefield 2, Half Life 2, and Half Life 2 Episode 1. So right now I'm playing the first two, saving EP1 for later.

This is pretty fun! It sure is nice to finally have a PC that will run games with no problems! :D:D

Better late than never. Pretty impressive graphics for being 3 years old, no?

Fakefactory makes some great mods for the Half-life games.

Adds much higher resolutions textures all over the place.

Episodes 1 and 2 were way too quick IMO. I guess I'm going to have to wait another year for episode 3 now.

Hahahaha, wow, is it really THAT old?! Man, I didn't know I was THAT out of touch with reality. However, since I have been out of touch with the gaming world, yeah, the graphics really do look awesome.

America's Army is the ONLY game I had played on my old computer (and with all the graphics turned all the way down, at that), so all this stuff looks really awesome.

    Especially at 1680x1050!

I used to play HL2 at 1280x1024 then when I purchased my new computer I played through the whole game at 2560x1600 resolution, it was a whole new experience.

Episode 2 is amazing. IMO Episode 1 was just a a continuation, but not an improvement. As great as HL2 was, Episode 2 is even better. Nice job Valve.

High Dynamic Range or super graphics. With the graphics cranked all the way up on Episode 2, it is amazing as you say referfer. However, the lenght of it was a little disappointing, but expected.
