There is a pair of RD0198-1's FS here in the FM for a pretty good price. That's an alternative if you can't find a good used sl2500.

I guess I could use the SL2000 as well, since my fronts have the SL2000. But I will need to buy 2 of those.
I'd rather stay in the SL series since its all in my home theater and I just don't have the $$ to spend to replace all 6 tweeters.
That being said, I will buy 2 SL2000 also if I can't find the 2500.
Thanks H9 -

I suppose that's an option. but the x-overs are different and you'd be creating sort of a frankenpolk which you would need to disclose if ever decide to sell them. I still think the used RD0's FS here are a better alt. even if your fronts are sl2000's.
My .02c and your choice

My choice is going to be to stop standing on tables cleaning my speakers up on the wall since wearing socks and smooth folding tables don't mix.
As for my choice on tweeters, the SL2000 will be fine if i can get 2, the 5 jr's will never be sold since the previous owner designed "custom" speaker brackets for them that were drilled into the speaker( ). Probably why I paid $10 for them and they came with the custom speaker brackets. They work perfect for my rear surround HT duty. -

I hope you had pants on  . Otherwise other equipment could have been damaged too"Appreciation of audio is a completely subjective human experience. It's funny you mention that, yes I did......but this morning I did take a shower, go to my drawer for a pair of boxers to find the drawer empty, they were all dirty. I had to wait for my laundry to finish before i could get dressed. -
I have a sl 2500 lying around unused. We can talk business since in interested in your monitor 10's..SRT For Life; SDA Forever!
The SRT SEISMIC System:
Four main satellite speakers, six powered subs, two dedicated for LFE channel, two center speakers for over/under screen placement and three Control Centers. Amaze your friends, terrorize your neighbors, seize the audio bragging rights for your state. Go ahead, buy it; you only go around once. -
Bump, speaker is very sad right now

I can send you a pair of SL-2000s for $25.00 and $15.00 shipping which includes insurance. This is what it cost me to send a pair the other day to colorado to a fellow polkie.
But you may be better off waiting till you find the correct replacement, its up to you. I have no need or am in a hurry to sell these but if you decide you have to have a pair soon PM me.
And ty for your offer to help me out with goodwins.
REGARDS SNOWWell, I just pulled off the impossible by doing a double-blind comparison all by myself, purely by virtue of the fact that I completely and stupidly forgot what I did last. I guess that getting old does have its advantages after all -
OOoo i just saw this........ gonna hold out just a LIL longer for a 2500......ill let you know though.
Thanks Rain. -
