This game is awesome. I was afraid it would be just a rebadge of the older versions and I was pleasantly suprised. The gameplay is similar, but it has a fresh feel. Graphics are A+/.

Here's a pic, still looks great on my 2 year old vid card:

I'm disappointed it's not WW2 anymore. Oh well, I'll probably still get it.

Okay just got done with Act 1. There are three total acts. It took me about 2 and half hours to finish the first act.

    Positives:

    1) Multiple story lines played from 2 different soldiers. One soldier is in Russia, and another is in the Mid-East. So it's kinda cool to play two different maps every other time.

    2) Weapons are insanely great. You can pretty much play with any weapon you want. Ak's, G36C's, Dragonov's, Mp-5's, Rocket Launchers, Stingers, you name it. Very nice variety. Oh and manning the guns in the c130's (Is that the right plane?) Is fun as all get out, also the Helo gun is great to shoot.

    3) Audio and visually pleasing, there are some bland battle areas that could have been spruced up more, but overall the character faces are very realistic, and I see no jaggies at all. Everyone moves normal, and soldiers take routine military stances. Audio wise it is what you would expect. Nice bass filler with grenades, and everything is appropriate in 5.1 DD.

    4) Achievements look to be more than attainable on this game. 180 after nine achievements.

    Negatives....(So far)

    1) Button layout is less to be desired. Grenades are RB/LB which is just awkward to me. Once you hit RB/LB the grenade throws. I would have preferred a little more control over the grenade like Rainbow Six, or GRAW. Just having grenades throw after hitting a button gives you no room to really aim.

    2) No consistency in the hardness. This game goes from docile to insane in almost an instant. You can be fighting forces that seem tame, turn a corner and be in one hell of a firefight that leaves you dying over and over again. I know it is war, and things do change, but I find it a little frustrating how it ramps up and down from street to street.

    3) No control over who is fighting with you. You guys will understand after the Cargo Ship mission which is the first one. You have no control over opening doors, so your players do it for you. And they also rush in first, which basically leaves you standing in the rear holding your "johnson" while your computer teamate's take care of the bad guys. Not fun Activision. This theme of standing around while you wait for someone to open a door continues all through the first Act.

So that's it in a nutshell guys. After playing the game 1/3 of the way through I would give it a solid 8.5. Each of my complaints knock it down a half a point. I think the grenades are the sorest point with me. Just a very weak effort on Activision's part when it comes to that. Other wise this is a great first person shooter.

What I missed in COD2 and BF2 about grenades is the arming and throwing. In MOH you could arm it by clicking the button, then it throws when you release. That way you could control when it goes off. In COD2 and BF2 it goes off based on the release time. Not good.

Playing this in 7.1 surround on a 92" screen at 720p... and OH MY GOD. The AC130 part is scarily real looking. Great placement of sounds in the surrounds and some of the best graphics I've seen on the 360. I'm waiting to jump into multiplayer until later in the week, but having played the beta I already know what I'm in for on that.
    Equipment list:
    Onkyo TX-NR3010 9.2 AVR
    Emotiva XPA-3 amp
Polk RTi70 mains, CSi40 center, RTi38 surrounds, RTi28 rears and heights
SVS 20-39CS+ subwoofer powered by Crown XLS1500
    Oppo BDP-93 Blu-ray player
    DarbeeVision DVP5000 video processor
    Epson 8500UB 1080p projector
Elite Screens Sable 120" CineWhite screen

Can anyone give any advice on the mission called HEAT? once i reach the downhill part...well everything starts going downhill :( Its silly the Ai just shoots you even if you were hidden in the grass, they just always know where you are regardless.
