Buy it, try it and sell it if you don't like it. You may or may not get what you paid for but depending on the product, you should get back most of your money. If that amount is still too much, even to try, try something from Blue Jeans Cable. You can even buy used from AudiogoN or the classified ads right here at Polk to save on higher priced cable.

I would stick to well shieded cables. Even a shielded cable will pick up noise if it crosses paths with the wrong component part. I learned this recently when repositioning some cooling fans after a cabinet dusting. If you are trying to save a little money, there are some nice cables to be had on ebay. I have tried esoteric audio, shift audio, viperav, belkin pure av, and various monster speaker cables over the years. All have served my use well. Even some of the higher line cables can be had pre-owned as well.

If you're handy with a soldering iron and want the anti-cable experience, go out and buy some 8 ga. winding wire, a set of mid range terminals and save 75% of the cost of anti-cables. You will have the exact same product at 1/4 the price.

I have in the house Signal, Better Cables, AudioQuest, Monster, Blue Jeans, PS Audio and MIT cables, most of these I bought in our Flea Market to try out as I built the systems I have.

My favorite cable is in my two channel rig and is the MIT, Signal, Blue Jeans and Monster are in my main HT. I see Audio Advisor is running a special on the new AQ lines and HCM Audio has a special on AQ cables as well. I bought some of the AQ from HCM audio and they were pleasent to deal with. The cables are well made and terminated however you wish.

Good choice going with Signal Cable. Well made with nice overall sound and Frank is a big supporter of our club.
