Anybody ever own these KEFs?

KEF product page:

I know...it depends on what your ears like, but any opinions on these? I've got a chance to pick up a pair in excellent condition locally. I am considering them for a 2-channel (either extra room or garage).

Trust your ears. (How are things in Seattle?)

I haven't heard those in particular but I'm a KEF fan from the vintage days to UNI-Q. As long as the price is fair I would get them in a heartbeat.
CTC BBQ Amplifier, Sonic Frontiers Line3 Pre-Amplifier and Wadia 581 SACD player. Speakers? Always changing but for now, Mission Argonauts I picked up for $50 bucks, mint.

Kef didn't make too many horrible speakers.
This looks like an older Raymond Cooke design.
If the price was really right, and for 2ch only, WTF ?
BTW, used to live at 19243 11th ave ne, sea wa 98155, know where that is ?

Thoughts on what might be a "fair" price?

Cambir, it's a decent sealed box from KEF. Not seen on the used market very often, which means either they didn't sell very many of them, or the people that have them are happy with them. I'll take the latter for a guess.

    Cheers,
    Russ

What's the current price? What's the condition? Are they local or is it drive time?....PM me if you want that stuff private.

Unfortunately, yes. $90 is like 2 weeks pay for someone with a teaching background! :D

In private sector now, but thank you.

I'm just careful to throw $90 on an unknown...not attempting to end up with a collection of unused.

    thanks for the input btw

mmm, nice, nice speakers. They probably didn't sell too many in the US because they were not inexpensive.

Info on the Carinas and their bretheren (sistern?) here:

Dang, the link's not working; hope it'll be back!

Meanwhile, there might be some info on KEFs museum site:

EDIT: Oy, Carina IIs. Those I don't know. Should be OK, though. There is info on KEFs site about them.
