There was a guy on ebay listed under the id joescottage and he was selling hand made racks (CD and DVD). They were solid oak and very nice. I purchased one from him (small one that holds 60 CD's) and thought to purchase another one for DVD, but I do not see any listings for him. You may want to search his ID and contact him to see if he has anything. Good luck.Michael
In the beginning, all knowledge was new!

I know that you asked about a storage "rack", but I just thought I'd throw another idea out there...
I'm a big fan of Can-Am's storage solutions (http://www.can-am.ca). They manufacture steel, lockable, modular storage units for CDs and DVDs. I believe their smallest two-drawer unit stores 540 CDs and their three-drawer unit holds 810. If you need more storage, you just buy another unit and connect to your existing unit. They make bridge pieces, counter tops, wheels and many other parts to fit everything together. It's a cool concept.
I'm up to six of the three-drawer units now and I wouldn't want to go back to regular storage racks.

I have a variation of this one. It can be found at Costco for around $200 from time to time. Holds 612. Good luck.

www.racksandstands.com is definately the place to go, if you can't find a design you like there(maybe not the brand), then it doesn't exist.

Leslie Dame are my favorite. You can get them at Racks & Stands. My local music shop carries them as well.

I ordered this wall mounted Leslie Dame unit from Racks & Stands. Holds 525 CDs which should be just about right for my current and future CD collection:
