Has anyone expererience with autotek amps??, i'm looking at a 220 x2 rms @ 4 ohms to run a couple of EXII 12's
i tried before a sony 300 rms @ 4 ohm, 600 rms @ 2ohm class D amp, but it did sound bad, i'm not an expert on class D but my ol class A Kenwood 120 RMS sounded i would say a lot cleaner (not louder).
any suggestions?

I hate to knock brands (-- sarcasm--) but the sony sounded bad because sony is bad. I have not seen one sony amp in the last 5 years that was worth half of its sticker price. Xplodes shold be just that -- exploded or set on fire.
As far as autotek --- I have not used them myself, but all i have heard from friends and those in the know is that autotek makes a very very very GOOD product!
Regulated power supplies ontheir class D's and some of the cleanest (low THD) class A/B stuff in its price range.
the autotek 220x2 @ 4 ohms i think is a great idea for those subs -- if you read the other post i left u in the other listing it basically tells u to get a 200 - 220 x 2...lol.. i was pleased to hop to thisforum and see you'd come to that conclusion yourself already.
The only thing about autotek is this --if your'e lookin at a "Stealth" series model, they're big -- not huge, but 1 or 2 inches longer / wider than say an mtx or rockford in the same power range.. but they are cleaner and nicer than those brands anyway. (and i'm an avid mtx fan so that is a great compliment -- if you don't go with the autotek -- an mtx 6304 would work nice too -- i'm sellin one myself -- 2months old and i dont need it anymore --- rated at 300 x 2 at 4 ohms at 14 volts.. actual output at 13.8 volts [car running] is about 230 x 2 @ 4 ohms -- selling it for 175.00 on ebay -- if u wanna check it out go to www.ebay.com and type in "mtx 6304" serach it and its the one for 175.00).The Artist formerly known as PoweredByDodge
