Good movie..bit of tear jerker. Good to see Adam Sandler playing a serious part. Not Academy awards grade by any means, but a touching, good story. No spoiling here, this info is given from the start; a guy looses his wife & 3 girls some years ago in plane crash--he chooses to bury their memory rather than deal with the pain. An old college buddy tries to help him cope, in an effort to find his own purpose in life. Rent.

I love scary movies, and if you want my respect--you better be scary. This was fairly scary. One of those movies that switches back--you never quite know the deal until the end. A "most haunted places" book writer, albeit very skeptical, stays in room 1408; a room that has a very real history of horror and death. He's also dealing with the loss of his daughter and recent seperation from his wife. Did what he experienced in 1408 really happen...or not? (muhahaha). Rent.

Possible Rent...conditional movie, some may like it, some wont---a love or hate type thing
Rent...check it out, may not be your cup of tea, but you wont suffer through it.
Buy...Excellent. A movie you'll want to watch over & over again.

1408 had a chance to be really creepy, but didn't you think they kind of went a bit overboard towards the end? When he was stuck in a snowstorm, I kind of got taken out of it a bit.If you will it, dude, it is no dream.

Know what you mean, there were a few parts where I thought "ok, this is about to get really freaky"..but the scene would fizzle out.
