Audiomeca Mephisto II transport

Anyone ever had one of these ... or anything by Audiomeca for that matter? I just picked up a Mephisto II at an auction for next to nothing (compared to it's msrp or used price at least). The x version has some differences but looks the same, the link below has pictures of both. Beautiful piece of gear .... the pictures don't really do it justice.
Sent the company an email asking a few questions and waiting for a reply (they're in Europe so it'll be a few hours til the business day starts) so figured I'd just see if anyone around here had ever played with one.
