I have a cadillac, with 3 12"s and 2 1000 watt amps with a boss cross over.
I recently had to buy a new alternater cause it burn up, along with that I bought a 8 farad power cap to prevent that in the future.

well heres the question,
I bought 2 13" tvs for it, and a power converter for my Xbox
should I run the tvs and power converter from the battery?
Or could i hook the converter up to the Power cap and run the tvs from the battery???

Okay i would NOT run it off your CAp no way that was made for quick burst of power to your amp's not for steady power to a converter so i would run it off of a fuse that will handle the power that this consumes also you do not want it running while the car is on Do you? If you do or if you do want to run it directly from the battery "which i never do" tie it in to the power wire BEFORE it goes to the cap hope this helps if you need more help let me know. FYI you are going to KILL your hearing with that much bass be careful.

yea man ive been bumpin that hard for a while,
its a big body 84, 4 door so i needed all that, but 4 sure
    that helped me :)

    1 more question,
the power converter has a fuse on it,
should i run it strait from the battery,
or tie it in to the power wire that goes to the cap?
"just makin sure i heard right"
    sorry bout so many questions

I would do power wire to cap BUT if you do want it running and not stealing any power from your stereo you could run a wire about 12g wire directly from the battery.

I hope you bought a high output alternator and not a factory replacement. The cap will not prevent your new alternator from going out.
