Carpet spikes

Hello,

I bought a pair of Rti10 2 weeks ago and the spikes are doing marks on the floor.
The floor is made of pine boards.
My question is can I remove the spikes, if not, is there something I can put under the spikes to prevent marks?

Than you,

Bert

hmmm... carpet spikes are supposed to be used for carpet, I’m pretty sure that you should be removing them if you have a pine floor.

Take them out or put something underneath. They should just screw out and then you can get spikes for floors and not carpet ones.

I don't know how many versions of these speakers were put out, but if they are like the pair I have, then you will not be able to remove the spikes due to the plastic decorative piece at the bottom front of the speaker.

Until you get some rubber feet, spike footers or another temporary alternative, try drilling a small divot in the center of a quarter X 8, setting the spikes within the divot. For the ghetto temporary fix, take a phone book or short 2x4's and place speakers on top with the spikes removed.

get a pair of ceramic tile -- works great, used it ever since I got my Taylos...

I also put floor saver foam pads under the tile so I can slide my speakers around
