I got the following in an email:

REMINDER....9 days from today, all cell phone numbers are being released to telemarketing companies and you will start to receive sales calls.

.....YOU WILL BE CHARGED FOR THESE CALLS

To prevent this, call the following number from your cell phone: 888-382-1222.

It is the National DO NOT CALL list. It will only take a minute of your time.
It blocks your number for five (5) years.
You must call from the cell phone number you want to have blocked.
You cannot call from a different phone number.

HELP OTHERS BY PASSING THIS ON TO ALL YOUR FRIENDS.
It takes about 20 seconds.

What do you guys think? Legit?

This one is the LEGIT number, but is for residential phones and not cell phones. This one's been given out by the news media broadcasts and papers.

I get a very rare spam call or text on my cell phone. Since I don't have a home phone, my cell is the only number I can really put down if a phone number is "required" anywhere, so it was bound to happen.

Also... congrats on Polk Master status, cathy :)
If you will it, dude, it is no dream.
