Are Audiosource Amp/A good enough to run a pair of rti 12s in mono config?

I can get a set of slightly used Audiosource Amps/A to run as monoblocks for my RTI 12 for about $220 for the pair shipped to my door. I am currently running my rti 12s off my denon A/V in passive mode so I have the lows running off the surrounds hookups and the front's driving the highs in a passive bi-amp config.

Should I buy the pair and set them up in Mono mode or am I wasting my money.....???

If you're asking from a sound quality perspective, I think you'll notice an improvement. I've got an Audiosource Amp/one (I think that's the model) driving my RT55's as the front speakers in my HT. Definitely an improvement over the internal amplification in my Harmon Kardon AVR. If you're concerned about bridging them, and running 'em that way, I'm not much help. I've always run mine in stereo.

I was going to get a pair of them and run them in bridged mode so each tower would get one of the Audiosource amps feed to it.........wasn't going to bother with stero mode.

I'm using an older Audiosource, think it's an Amp One, 2X80, bridgeable to 200wpc, running my center with no problems...nice clean little amp...much better than the AVR driving it.

    Combo rig:

Onkyo NR1007 pre-pro, Carver TFM 45(fronts), Carver TFM 35 (surrounds)
    SDA 1C, CS400i, SDA 2B
    PB13Ultra RO
    BW Silvers

you could use a Y splitter to on the left and right front out giving you two left feed and 2 right feeds then connect one left and right feed to each amp, then run the amps in stereo to really bi-amp your RTis.

No bridging worries, less distortion, possibly more peak current capacity too.
