Hey there fellow Polkers...

I have a couple of items up for sale today.

First, I have a Toshiba HD-A1 HD-DVD Player for sale. It is in EXCELLENT condition, and has never once given me any sort of problems, no freezups, nothing. I do believe it has the most current firmware. I found a deal I couldn't pass up on a Toshiba HD-XA1. Aside from the looks, I can confidently say that the A1 was every bit as good of a player! Comes with the Remote and original manual. Obviously, on of the best things about this player is the ANALOG OUTS! This is a life saver for those of us who want to enjoy lossless sound, but don't have current HDMI spec Pre/Pros or receivers. You can see the player in my stack, with my Emotiva gear.

Selling for just $140, plus shipping. SOLD!!

Second, I have a MINT Belkin PureAV PF40 Power Conditioner. EDIT!!!!: This is actually a PF31d, my mistake! This unit is virtually brand new. Check out the specs, it is a great piece of equipment and has been VERY favorably reviewed. Only selling because my partner at work got two black ones. He has very graciously agreed to let me buy one of them from him!

Selling for $150, plus shipping. Paypal only. EDIT! Selling for just $95! It is really just as good as the PF40, has the same LCD display, same look! This is cheap guys!!

I can get these shipped out very quickly, just let me know.

I have positive feedback here on polk audio, and my ebay user is fst96se. Check my history here, I have bought and sold lots of speakers succesfully on the Polk Forum.

K guys, gotta change a few things. My Belkin PureAV Conditioner is actually a PF31d, not a PF40. So, I am lowering the price to $95 for Polkies, no paypal fees or anything, just actual shipping from 83646.

Also, lowering the price to $130 plus shipping for the Toshiba!

Here are some better pics of the player! Will try to get some better ones of the power conditioner!

Thanks, it actually looks a bit better now than it did when the pic was taken.

And it will look even BETTER when someone buys my power conditioner so I can pay for a black one! :o

Been holding off until it is "done." You know how that goes! I still need to finish painting baseboards, recarpet the room with carpet on the riser too, a couple more movie posters, etc... Everything has been DIY, and it just takes a while.

That player is probably the best audio video piece you can purchase for $130.

It upconverts DVDs to 1080i, but doesn't play SACDs. If you have the scratch and an HDTV, buy this thing (I already have two HD-DVD players).

Hmmm... I have the scratch. Using Oppo 981 right now, but would love to step up to HD. And it matches my HK AVR with the black and silver.

Are you enjoying yours Andy? I heard there were some querks. Slow load time, funny HDMI sync, etc.

For that price you better. I was going to get the surge protector and the HD-DVD but I think I will just move my A1 from living room to my new TV and leave the PS3 there. I think it would be too much to have XA1, 2 * A1 and PS3 in the house, and only have time to watch a movie once a month. :)

Still on the fence on the Belkin but I have a good surge protector so I don't think I'll need it. If it only had UPS built in... LOL

Hey guys, the A1 is sold! BTW, I haven't ever had any HDMI sync issues, but yes it is slow. I can't say if it is any slower than my XA1 though!

I agree though, at $130 this player is NO BRAINER! ;)

The Belkin is still available, but I have a guy who has expressed interest, just need to get him a shipping estimate.

Another edit, my partner with the Belkins has a silver one exactly like mine, they were bought at the same time. He would like me to sell that one too, so in reality, I have two of these Belkin's for sale!

Well, you should probably wait for the rating until after you get it! :D

I have all the confidence in the world you will like it but....

BTW everybody, here is a pic of the Toshiba HD-XA1 I will be selling shortly for just $229. Under warranty, with receipt!

What do you have now HD-DVD player wise, XA2? Holding out for the 3rd gen stuff?

Great price again on the HD-XA1. I got mine 6 months or so ago for $349 shipped, NIB and thought I had literally robbed the seller, and yours is 60% of the cost.

Good luck! If my family members and/or co-workers are finally ready to take the HD-DVD plunge, I'll send them your way :)

I just bought an XA2. I wanted to hold out for a Sammy 5000 dual format player, but I am sure it will be problematic for a while. The XA2 is proven, and I love my PS3, so that will hold me over for another year or so.

The real reason I am selling my XA1 and sold my Belkin PureAV conditioner? Cuz I wanna fill my rack with all black stuff! ;)

SB, please dont take this the wrong way, because its really not my buisness. But I'm curious so I cant help it..lol

But I see a pic in July with the A1 in the rack then a pic in Oct with a XA1 in the same rack. Was the XA1 not what you expected? Was it just bought within 3 months and you decided not to keep it because its not black?

Why am I seeing 2 different players in the same rack within a few months from each other?

Bought the XA1 on 9/11. Got bit by the upgrade bug. Bought the A1 quite a while back. Lucked into the XA1 new at a store for a great deal, and had to take it.

    I understand, believe me.

How is the upscaling and audio? True HD? DTS MA?

No MA yet, no HD player can do it yet but the XA2 is rumorred to be getting MA bitstream output via firmware in the near future. I think there are very few HDDVD's that have DTSMA, but I understand many imports do. It has TRUEHD which sounds great. I think audio and upscaling are top notch. The XA1's analogues really benefit me, because my pre/pro doesn't have audio over HDMI.

Well since I'm dealing with an older Mit RPTV I go from HDMI to DVI with audio out to my HK avr.

TrueHD, it has perentheses () 2 channel. But isnt TrueHD analog 5.1?

Or to get TrueHD, you have to hook it up another way?

If your HK Avr won't do HDMI audio, then you can get 5.1 TrueHD through Analogues only. Someone will have to correct me if I am wrong, but I beleive you get a 2 channel True HD mix over Optical sent as PCM.

Silverti, I saw your setup today while looking at a "screen wall" thread on AVS forum, and thought to myself that it was a sweet setup, lots of nice gear with those RTi speaks! I had no idea until now it was yours!

Glad it made it to you well, I am always worried when I ship things!

    Pleasure doing business with you!

Well, I am less sophisticated than some, but I LOVE "Eagles-Live from Melbourn" for music, and TRANSFORMERS for an action flick! Both are great for showing off a system!
