How cheap? If you don't mind refurbs (with GREAT customer service), the HK-3480 is a great stereo receiver, and at $188 is a great deal. You can even get it cheaper if you are not in a hurry bidding for them on ebay (same seller, harmanaudio). They go as cheap as $115.

SOPAThank God for different opinions. Imagine the world if we all wanted the same woman -
I second that. Best bang for the buck stereo receiver/integrated I can think of.
I love mine. For a small room / second setup, can't find a better budget piece.Stereo Rig: Hales Revelation 3, Musical Fidelity CD-Pre 24, Forte Model 3 amp, Lexicon RT-10 SACD, MMF-5 w/speedbox, Forte Model 2 Phono Pre, Cardas Crosslink, APC H15, URC MX-950, Lovan Stand
Bedroom: Samsung HPR-4252, Toshiba HD-A2, HK 3480, Signal Cable, AQ speaker cable, Totem Dreamcatchers, SVS PB10-NSD, URC MX-850 -
Thanks. I might have to wait on that. That is a good deal. Couple years back i found a Oink 2nchl @100 for 90.00. But i dont have all my links for refurbs/deals anymore. Im still looking around. Im done with Ebay for the moment.
I dont want to shell out a bunch at the moment as i want to go seperates soon.
Maybe somebody will clean out their closet.

Let me see what's in the basement tonight... if you don't mind vintage (really vintage), I might have something for the price of postage.
50 wpc might be a bit of a stretch, though.
I'll get back to you. -
I actually found a picture of one potential candidate. This is a Technics SA-5270 receiver, ca. 35 wpc. It's the one in the top of this photo (the bottom one's an SA-5370).
The 5270 has one teeny cosmetic flaw. The dial glass is gone :-( Other than that, it's in pretty good shape as I recall and works "as it should".
Note that the two photos are not to the same scale; the two receivers are about the same size. -
i really appreciate it, but i dont think that will be enough to really power the rta's. I wouldnt want to fry it. Hold on to it for now. Im gonna hit the local pawn shops and see if there is anything, even though now adays pawn shops are a joke.
Thanks

Check your lips at the door woman. Shake your hips like battleships. Yeah, all the white girls trip when I sing at Sunday service.

Perfect.
Ordered.
Thanks.

Hot damn,I just ordered one for the shop...think it's got enough "umph" to make a pair of RTi55's sing?
Thanks for the link Russ! -

I've purchased stuff from AC4L for years. So far so good. (How do you like your new toy?)"You can tell by the kindness of a dog how a human should be." Don Van Vliet

Powers the rta's pretty good. I ended up buying a Marantz Cd player from there as well. 99.00 refurb isnt bad at all.
