New Job, New House, Great Wife!

I recently accepted a new engineering position and will be moving from Cheyenne to Casper, WY at the end of this month. We found a house and will be closing late November so the rest of the family will move up before Christmas. When we first looked at this house, I told my wife that the layout in the basement won’t work for my SDA’s but they would work in the living room. Much to my surprise, she was fine with that and we discussed which wall. We agreed on the long wall and then I told her that meant nothing between the speakers and 3 feet either side that portrude beyond the speakers. I was bracing for fallout at this point. Instead, she responded by suggesting a new cabinet for my stereo and a flat screen TV! Did I mention how much I love my wife!

Brace yourself because she's eventually gonna remind you about the "I changed my mind" clause in the marriage contract. The basement will be your new best friend.;)

Congrats! I'm sure it has nothing to do with the guilt she feels for how much she spends on the side that you don't know about.

She just wants the heat from the rig to warm the upstairs, not to mention weigh down the house against those endless Wyoming winter winds! :>)

LOL - We both work, she can buy what she wants. Truthfuly, she doesn't want a whole lot. It probably has more to do with the fact that I'm willing to rip out a perfectly good kitchen cabinet so she can put her favorite hutch there. She get's a place for her hutch, I get a place for my SDA's, the kids can play downstairs without worrying about Daddy's speakers - Everybody's happy! Thanks for the good wishes!
