Tv Stand

Hi,
I finally finished the tv stand I started this spring. It turned out well I think. I had some orange stained glass for the door and stained the birch wood with cherry stain. Still need to install the magnetic door catch. The wife likes it and it holds all the components well. Now I need to make speaker stands. I also am going to change the shape of the sub box from square to a wedge to fit better behind the stand. The work never ends.

Hi,
Now I need to make speaker stands. I also am going to change the shape of the sub box from square to a wedge to fit better behind the stand. The work never ends.
A shame that the speaker are not a more optimal height.

Hi,
I am using stands but they are fugly. I think I will make mdf stands that are hollow and fill them with sand. That will be the next audio project before the new power supply for the Monica dac, build a Hagerman Picollo mc head amp, the sub box, the mono 78 playback setup, ect, ect. Fun, fun.Main system: Lyngdorf TDAI 2170 w/ Pioneer 42" plazma-> Polk LSiM 703 w/Tivo, Marantz tuner, BRPTT: Nothingham Spacedeck-> Pioneer PL L1000 linear arm-> Soundsmith DL 103R-> SUT->Bottlehead ErosDigital: I3 PC w/ Jriver playing flac -> Sonore Ultrarendu -> Twisted Pair Audio ESS 9028 w/ Mercury IVY Vinyl rips: ESI Juli@24/192-> i3 PC server -

Well the mdf speaker stands became Ls50 speakers. Found a pair on CL. They sound better than mdf and waf is good. Installed the magnetic catch and need to set the hinges lower. I am happy with the stand. It looks good and will take a medium sized hd tv in the future. We are refacing the fireplace in the living rm now, so I am happy it is done. I am also making a wedge shaped sub box to replace the original table style box. So many projects, no time.Main system: Lyngdorf TDAI 2170 w/ Pioneer 42" plazma-> Polk LSiM 703 w/Tivo, Marantz tuner, BRPTT: Nothingham Spacedeck-> Pioneer PL L1000 linear arm-> Soundsmith DL 103R-> SUT->Bottlehead ErosDigital: I3 PC w/ Jriver playing flac -> Sonore Ultrarendu -> Twisted Pair Audio ESS 9028 w/ Mercury IVY Vinyl rips: ESI Juli@24/192-> i3 PC server

Ventilated the tv stand. Can't believe it's been this long since I build this. Because the hdmi board went out on the pioneer I thought more ventilation was needed. Router made a clean job of it.Main system: Lyngdorf TDAI 2170 w/ Pioneer 42" plazma-> Polk LSiM 703 w/Tivo, Marantz tuner, BRPTT: Nothingham Spacedeck-> Pioneer PL L1000 linear arm-> Soundsmith DL 103R-> SUT->Bottlehead ErosDigital: I3 PC w/ Jriver playing flac -> Sonore Ultrarendu -> Twisted Pair Audio ESS 9028 w/ Mercury IVY Vinyl rips: ESI Juli@24/192-> i3 PC server
