Aura Bass Shakers

Just thought I'd let the world know about the glory of the Aura Bass Shakers; I have a couple of them screwed tight to some couches and they really do add to the bass effect. No, they're not a substitution for an excellent subwoofer, but I'd argue that they amplify the feeling well. The thing I like best about them is that for volume concerns, you get the mimic of deeper bass without the angry neighbors calling the police with disrupting the peace. At higher volumes, you get a nice sound sensitive butt massage.

The first movie I tried them out on was "Gone in 60 Seconds". Remember when Nicholas Cage turns on the 1967 Shelby G.T. 500 for the first time? Oh baby, it felt like I was riding shotgun.

At $38 a pop, they're cheap enough to buy a couple to screw around with and not breaking the bank.

Dual Buttkicker LFEs or go home. Aura bass shakers are just rattles after you feel the impact of a buttkicker.

Speaker out from the sub would work fine. I'm using an Adcom 535 to juice them from the LFE out on my Denon myself.

As for the buttkickers, yes, of course they're better... then again, they're also almost 4 times the price of the Auras. And, they have a bigger profile than the Auras, which is why I ended up not picking them up since my sofa has a very low profile and very little wiggle room.

Besides, I like keeping it inexpensive ;)
