Weak Surround effects

I am running a 7.1 system using Polk Rti8 as fronts, Csi5 center, Fxi3 sides and Rti4 rears. I have the crossover set to 80Hz on all speakers and am using a MartinLogan dynamo sub. I have noticed that when watching movies the surrounds sound very weak with no effects but when listening to music I get good sound from all speakers. I am using the Integra DTR 8.8 to power the system and set everything up using the Audyssey MultEQ mic. I even tried increasing the speaker levels but it didn't help much. Any suggestions?
