They are only a 5 Hour drive from Polk Fest. Just sayin'.
I like speakers that are bigger than a small refrigerator but smaller than a big refrigerator:D

I've never understood why the biggest SDA dick has to be the best. Aside from a taller soundstage, they sound the same. The benchmark for me is the 2.3TL. The 1.2 is a zero benefit in my travels.
CTC BBQ Amplifier, Sonic Frontiers Line3 Pre-Amplifier and Wadia 581 SACD player. Speakers? Always changing but for now, Mission Argonauts I picked up for $50 bucks, mint.

I THINK I am the closest to him ?
I live in Brandon, east of tampa, less then an hour away.
BUT, I will back off this deal since other forum members beat me to it, and are interested.
I already have SRS 2's anyway, although I admit these make them almost look like toys:eek:

Entag, next to me, you are the closest to him I think.

I'm still waiting for a reply, but I'm really really hoping I get them, because I've been looking for a pair for quite a long time.

Shipping on those beasts would be upwards of $400. I plugged the weight and size into a few shipping cost calculators and got a minimum of $200 per speaker. And that's assuming that they weigh 30 pounds less than they actually do, because you can't ship stuff via UPS over 150 per box. I'm really hoping that no one is crazy enough to bid on them, partly because I want them, but also because I can't bear to think about them being shipped.

EACH one is 182 lbs they have to have a specially made crate for them out of wood for each one. then I don't know who would even accept something that large and heavy. shipping is not an option as I see it, ever for SRS's

    Amen to that!
One of my SRS 2 drivers froze just being moved from Sarasota florida to Tampa in a new p/u truck.
No one in his right mind will allow this dude to ship these things.

Based on the zip code he listed, he's literally 4 miles down the road from me. Which means he's actually somewhere within a 1-15 mile radius, but still. I think I need to stage an intervention and get these, just to keep them from being shipped. Hmm...:D

4 miles from you is very close. :)

maybe with him not wanting to ship em, that will keep some potential buyers from bidding.. and in turn not driving the price up.

good luck.. if i were you... i'd send him an email stating you believe you are less then 10 miles from him and are VERY interested in them.. mention to him that shipping could very possibly damage the speakers.. maybe he'll get emotional and not want to see them damaged in shipping. and well, maybe he'd consider ending the auction.. and deciding to go with your offer instead. plus, if he accepts paypal, that is more money out of his pocket that goes straight into eBay's deep pockets. ok, i'm done. ;)
