Dual PSW404 or single SVS PB12-Plus

Hello,
My current system consists of (2) RTi10, CSi5, (4) FXi3, Denon AVR987, Audiosource AMP300 for fronts, and Audiosource AMP100 for center. I also have a PSW404 which seems to be little underpowered for my room. My room is 14'x19', which includes a stairwell going up. I know my room isn't that big however I would like a little more chest punch.
The cheapest option would be to go with another psw404 which would cost under $250. However I was seriously looking at a SVS PB12-Plus which would cost me $800 and then I might be about to get $100-150 for my used PSW404.
I guess my question is. Would another PSW404 be enough to add enough pressure to the room to give a noticable difference? Or should I just save up and go with the SVS?

Go with the SVS. I had the PSW404 and it was less than impressive. If you want to go with Polk subs, go with dual stacked PSW505's. The 505 is the best of that series. Polk also has some new subs that are getting good comments, you might check them out.DKG999

Go with SVS, best bang for buck sub out there. Or check out Elemental designs, I have been reading allot of good compliments on their product as well, granted I have never heard one. I can vouch for the SVS though.Shoot the jumper.....................BALLIN.............!!!!!

Thanks, I think I am just going to save up and spend the money on a SVS. They are located like 4 hours from me, so maybe I will see if they have a demo room or something like that.

The choice is easy, SVS.

my advice would be to save up for the sub you really want and live without one until you can get the sub you really want. I don't know much about the smaller SVS's but I know there is no current Polk sub that is even close to the same league as my current SVS.There is no genuine justice in any scheme of feeding and coddling the loafer whose only ponderable energies are devoted wholly to reproduction.
