MP3 players iPod question

So, I am looking for an MP3 player for my bro-in-law for his b-day.
Does anyone make a player that doesn't have a damn video screen, has lots of memory and is half way affordable?
I just want something for music only.
He sits in dialysis everyday for 4 hours and needs something portable for tunes.

    Get the Ipod nano. I have the 2nd generation and it holds more than enough songs and does not have all the bells and whistles. I think you can get it for 149 dollars or something close.
