I landed a Sunfire TGP III last night on Audiogon!:D It's the 17" model so I can fit it in my rack.

I just dread having to go through the whole setup process again. It's such a pain in the neck. Not to mention learning a whole new remote.

I'll probably be needing you guys help to get everything straightend out.

But I'm psyched!:D I'm finally back to an all separates system.:D

Those are excellent pre/pros, but I personally didn't like the remote.....A little too complicated for me....Did you get the glass plate with it?

I haven't gotten it yet, so I don't know. I probably wouldn't use it anyway.

Don't tell me that about the remote Bill, I'm worried enough about figuring it out as it is!

I hope someone has one like it to help me figure it out.

    Thanks guys.

Congrats Cathy. Sounds like to great combo. Just think of the final result after all of the setup is complete. Enjoy.

Congrats Cathy, be interested to hear your comments on having a dedicated pre/pro vs. your current Denon you're using for pre/pro duties. Re-learning stuff is a PITA but I think you'll find the dedicated pre/pro a plus.

Congrats Cathy very nice addition. You are going to need to get 5 sets of XLR interconnects now that you have the available technology.:D

You will love the difference in clarity and detail these willl provide. I see that the new pre offers hdmi and all kinds of goodies woo hoo.

And yes it will take around 6 months or so to fully understand and be able to navigate the new remote lol.

Well, I just pulled off the impossible by doing a double-blind comparison all by myself, purely by virtue of the fact that I completely and stupidly forgot what I did last. I guess that getting old does have its advantages after all :D

Yes I do! And the enjoyment lasts for YEARRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRSSSS!:D

I purchased my Denon in 2001! Now that I'm back to all separates, I won't be ugrading my electronics unless something breaks.

All that is left is speakers. But unless Polk comes out with a size/weight managable LSI tower, I will keep my current speakers till they break.

Not interested in new cables the ones I have now will do just fine. Oh BTW, because I agreed to pay the 36.00 shipping, he threw in a free Kimber Kable power cord!:D

    No Dac's for me Darla.
