Need height of Csi3 when placed upside down
I'm about to buy a center speaker to go with the my Rti8. I found out the Csi5 is almost 9 inches when placed upside down. The clearance for the shelf below my tv is only 8 inches max. I was wondering what is the height of the Csi3 when placed upside down. If both end up >8 inches I'll go with the Csi5 since I'll have to buy a separate stand anyways. Which brings me to the next question of a stand that I can place in front of my 52inch lcd tv that I can place either of the above center speakers on without the stand being very obtrusive. Thanks.

7.5 inches inverted height.

Thanks, looks like it'll fit on the first shelf of my stand. Now I have a tough decison: spend more money on the csi5 (speaker and separate stand) or buy the csi3 which is cheaper and fits on the tv stand I already have but may not produce the great depth in movie dialogue.

I own the CSi5 and I think it is a great center...it would be a better match to your 8's. "If" it were me,I would opt for a stand and the CSi5
Even if it meant waiting a while for funds...the former CSi series is only going to come down a little in cost since the intro of the RTA series. -
Thanks, I agree. Any suggestions on a stand? The Csi5 is no small speaker and I want to make sure it's well supported.

There should be a number of center stands on the market,I've never had the need,so I can't help you much there.

Thanks for the advice. I've decided against the csi3 and to get the csi5 and this stand:

If I did my math correctly, the ht from floor to bottom of tv is 21 inches. Obviously the stand plus speaker should stay below that. This stand is 12 inches ht plus 8 3/4" for the speaker if it is upside down and aiming up or 7 3/4" if it is flat. Should work. -
Good lookin' stand...the CSi5 will not disappoint...you've made a fine choice
