Adding Weight

I sat a Monitor 5 on top of my RTA 11t's ( long story ), popped in a cd and the added weight on top of my RTA 11t's made the bass presence and punch noticeably more prominent.

I know Joe (Hearingimpared) has 25lb bags of shot on top of his 1.2tl's. Anyone else use this tweek?
I like speakers that are bigger than a small refrigerator but smaller than a big refrigerator:D

im about to fill my rti8's with sand. does that work well? can't imagine that it would, the 8's are pretty well constructed boxes...did yours sound noticably better afterward?

I have a pair of RTi10's and when I set my Focal's on top of them, the bass sounded more defined. When I had a cheap a$$ sub years back I used to set my coin "piggy bank" on top and I yielded the same result.
