Hi,
I want to buy a C400.4 to power a pair of mmc690 and 1 polkmm2104.
i've been reading that they are "rated" at 75x4. tis a modest rating they say and i've come to the conclusion that they range between 90x4/100x4 depending on how lucky you are. i was wondering, how much RMS is ACTUALLY being put out when its Bridged to run a sub?

welcome to the forums. my c400.4 puts out 98wpc, so if i bridge it will run 196w. you usually just double the watts if you bridge, give or take a couple, it usually falls within there.

those amps usually come somewhere in between 80-95wpc anyhow, so i think you will be ok. just if you want extreme bass, always better to get another amp.

i dont understand how amps are rated then, cause the "rating" is 75x4 @ 4 ohms and 200watts RMS Bridged at 4 ohms.

what speaks are you using ?
why do you want to bridge this particular amp ?

    nevermind...duh !
I re read your initial post..!

it should work fine, it`s just that your sub is a Dual Voice coil and may draw alot from that amp..!!

Probably just under 240 watts RMS to a little under 270 dependending on the birthsheet. The difference in watts would not really be something that you could hear though.

well i got a pair of mmc690 for 99 bucks on car domain if i bought the momo 2104 sub for regualr price and i found this amp on sale for 250 bucks on the same sight so i stepped all over that it said it was rated at 75x4 and 200 RMS bridged on every sight i went to. but every site also said conservative rating on RMS and most people said they got about 90x4 on theres so automatically i assume that the RMS is going to go up farther than 200 watts bridged i was just wondering if anyone knew the actuall number that it could be?

yeah i wanted to get the momo525 but i couldnt afford them and another amp cause i didnt want to push momos off a head unit, from what i've read i figured that would be kind of mean to them. so i went with the db525 and am going to push those off of a Pioneer DEH-P4900iB i figured it wouldnt be too bad and if it was i would just turn up the 690s and be ok with it.lol someday i will have two amps and momos for the front doors...someday
