A couple of more obscure offerings from a long time Gino Vannelli fan for those that don't know his true talent or are too young to know who he is...........
Gino Vannelli - Canto - 2003 BMG

Known for his soft rock ballads of the '70s and '80s, this project stretches his powerful voice and places him firmly amongst the best voices of his generation. The Canto album has Gino singing in operatic style, French, Italian, Spanish, and English as though he has been doing it for years. Most of the cuts offer full symphony backing and beautiful duets with soprano, Janet Chvatal. The recording quality is worthy of the best systems and can truly show how a great tenor voice can send shivers up your spine when played at live concert levels. The dynamics really make your gear shine.
Gino Vannelli - The Yonder Tree - 1995 Verve Records

The Yonder Tree album is a different type of jazz offering rarely found that bridges the gap between real jazz and contemporary smooth jazz on the scene today. With some of the best studio musicians adding to his compositions, Gino gets the chops credibility his fans have always thought he deserved. How often do you get to hear the late Gregory Hines do a tap dance solo recorded in stereo that pans across your soundstage to show off your stereo separation? Cool stuff, and of course the recording quality shows off his tremendous care given to all of his recording efforts.
Give them a go.......you may be pleasantly surprised.
