I just rented Lair, and I have to say it is a lot of fun. IMO the reviews that bash the controls are way off base. If fighting an army with a dragon sounds fun to you, then give this game a try.

I have been meaning to rent it. Just completed Heavenly Sword tonight which most consider a rental but if anything for replay value is the absolutely incredible visuals.

I bought heavenly sword, even though it is short. $$$ is your vote in the world of gaming, so lately I just try to buy the kind of games I want to see more of in the future. The animated series on PSN about heavenly sword was really fantastic. The dramatic delivery and story seem very nice... so I want to support that.

On the other hand, I won't be buying Halo 3 because I don't want giant behemoths like that to continue. I'm really sick of Master Chief, and Bungie has really fallen from what I consider its glory days (Marathon 2, Myth, Myth 2).

That would be nice but so far none of the GT games hold a candle to the realism and physics of the Forza games.
