Is this just a tad bit esoteric ?

Does this item belong in the land of "Audiophile Wall Plate Covers", or am I missing something ?

Versalab Wood Block. Outstanding audio accessory to eliminate or dramatically reduce radio frequency interference (RFI) when plugged into your electronic audio components. The wood block plugs directly into your amplifier, preamplifier, cd player, etc. and the powercord plugs into the wood block. Retails for $200. Stereophile recommended component.
No Reserve! Great Low Price! Bid to own this essential high end audio accessory. Please don't hesitate to ask any questions you may have. Thank you for looking and good luck bidding.
Let's see: at $107.04 per component (amp, pre-amp, tuner, SACD player, DVD player, TT, Spring Reverb), that comes to ..... $749.28.
Okay .... I guess that's a good deal for a power cord running through a block of wood.

I think Russman has sold a few of those in the FM.Stereo Rig: Hales Revelation 3, Musical Fidelity CD-Pre 24, Forte Model 3 amp, Lexicon RT-10 SACD, MMF-5 w/speedbox, Forte Model 2 Phono Pre, Cardas Crosslink, APC H15, URC MX-950, Lovan Stand
Bedroom: Samsung HPR-4252, Toshiba HD-A2, HK 3480, Signal Cable, AQ speaker cable, Totem Dreamcatchers, SVS PB10-NSD, URC MX-850 -
I see a ferite on the cable. That will help block high frequencies from getting on the cable. The wood shouldn't do anything with high frequencies (or low frequencies). I'm not sure what the intent of the wood is unless there is a big ferite inside and the wood is just a box to cover it.Vinyl, the final frontier...
Avantgarde horns, 300b tubes, thats the kinda crap I want... -
