Not much more I can say about this except that I've heard it hundreds of times and tonight it was so engaging and I heard things I never heard before. The distorted guitars were ripping the air with a big growl, the organ got down so low that my clothes were vibrating and the dueling between Plant & Page sounded new and fresh. The sound stage was much much wider than the CD in the "Complete Studio Recordings." The SDA effect is much more revealing on this LP than any other version I've played on my rig.
All instruments, Jones' bass (which was thunderous on Dazed & Confused), Bonham's drums, the organ, the harmonica everthing had it's place in the soundstage and was coming out of blackness and mid air. It was quite engaging. As I've said I've heard it hundreds of times and didn't want it to end tonight.
This definitely is the best version of this awesome classic record I've heard to date!!!
Brock I wish you could hear this.

How many of those re-releases did you get, Joe? I've been eyeing them up, especially after listening to my original copy of Zep III. I'm guessing you think they're worth the price they're asking?Wristwatch--->Crisco

I was going to buy all the LZ releases but then I saw the price. LZ one was the cheapest of them all so I thought I would buy that to check it out. Now I'm hooked and want to buy them all.
BTW LZ III is one of the worst sounding, great music, LPs I ever heard. Buying the re-release of this on vinyl is worth every penny to me at $30. Check out these from Music Direct. I believe these are the reduced prices. -
I just received Led Zeppelin III on this format, and it is outstanding. Too bad they are out of print now, so the price has shot up. I was able to pick up IV and Houses of the Holy for the normal price. The pirates on Ebay want over $60 each for these! LZ I and LZ II. I was just getting ready to write a review on LZ II.
Ben these are extraordinary recordings of Led Zepplin and are worth any price that is attached to them.
It's like hearing Plants voice for the first time!
