I MIGHT have some new caps coming, for FREE!
Yep, enough to do 2 SRS 2's.
I was looking around at cap manufacturers, and found one.
The company ONLY sells through reps.
I called my local rep, and told him I needed some caps.
He asked IF there MIGHT be any market for MORE caps - "down the road"
I told him YES, there MAY be
Before I could say ANYTHING, he told me he would put in an "evaluation order" to the factory:D
ROTFLMAO, I TRIED to keep cool.
CAPS FOR FREE - I LIKE it already!
Obviously, I can't reveal WHAT kind of caps are coming.
But this company has un real manufacturing capability.
They can do almost WHATEVER you want, like combine and blend different films, vary ESR, etc, etc, etc.
When I told him MY caps are for audio applications, he just laughed.
He told me HIS company has made several "audio approved caps" for various snake oil salesmen over the years.
Well, when my free caps get here, IF they do, I will honestly tell everyone how they sound.
And, there MAY be a market,. down the road, for this company after all ?
BTW, this company even makes TEFLON PPS Kapton AND OIL FILLED Caps!
And, all kinds of crazy film combo's, almost anything you want.
MAYBE I will "go into" the cap business ??
I will call them "Thinking Caps"
After all, I have ZILLIONS of audio friends on the Internet, many from my Horn/SET days.
IF I "turn them on" to some caps, and they LIKE them, they will gladly tell everyone about them.
For an extra charge, I will **** on them of course, or age them in wine barrels to make them "sweeter", LOL
NOW, off to get me some FREE resistors and BETTER Coils, LOL
Seriously, I will report on how they sound, and tell all what they are.
They are not expensive at all, in relation to some "Magic Caps" that is.
