Got these off craigslist today.....mainly because I wanted the original stands for my 10B's.

The monitors are in absolute mint condition with no chipped veneer edges, clean, serial numbers. Probably will put them back up for sale in a few weeks.....just had a listen on them, they sound great. The first 2 pics were from before cleaning, but I just finished cleaning the faces, absolutely no damage at all to them as can be seen in the last pic. Came from the original owner.

Yea, they definately have the peerless. None of my other monitors have the peerless which is why I am going to sell them. :D

It's not that I "prefer" it so to speak, but when your other 2 sets of monitors in your HT are SL2000, it just doesnt blend right putting in 1 pair of peerless and 2 pairs of SL2000's. I would rather keep it consistant across the board until I can upgrade my entire HT from monitors to something different.

Yea, totally fantastic condition. The veneer backs dont have any chips, no scratches, nothing. She said they never came off the stands. The stands still have the original rubber intact.

Oh yea, i hooked up my SDA to my crappy Aiwa receiver( i know it's a sin but it's too hard to undo the Denon) and wow, they sound awesome, I can't wait to get them rehabbed, amp'd, and some sort of vintage receiver for some 2ch listening.

Just reclothed the grilles. Came out good for a first timer. $9 for the cloth for both grills and about 50 cents worth of staples from a staple gun.

Not bad at all, They look good.

You did a nice job. Now you just need the little Polk tags for them and noone will know the difference.

That is why I haven't ordered. Sucks don't it.

Check with them again as I received my RD0-194's last week. Or, did they only get enough in to fill the backorders?

Was the original grill put on with staples and some spray glue? I've got to peel all the grill cloth of the SDA 2.3's and redo them this week. Well, part of the grill cloth has already started coming undone...I'm glad the frames are perfect, too. I've done tons of speaker grills thru the years...more than I care to remember! :D Those are looking good!
Richard? Who's your favorite Little Rascal? Alfalfa? Or is it........................Spanky?.................................Sinner.

The originals the owner said were stapled. I don't know because I bought them clothless.....with the staples/glue removed so my job was easy....measure, cut, and staple away.

I am going to redo the veneer in black ash and paint the polk logos bright red.....I have decided to hold onto these SDA's for a while since they sound just too good with my crap Aiwa receiver....i can only imagine with some real gear behind them.
