PSW250 volume control

I just bought a PSW250 and connected the amp's LFE output to the sub's LINE IN (there is no LFE on the 250). However, with this type of connection, the volume control has, well, no control. I can't vary the volume using the sub's controls.
Is this its normal operation? I also notice the band pass filter has no effect.
Not a big problem, but I can find no info in the owner's manual about this.
Thx.

I don't think this is normal. But I've never owned a PSW250 so I'm not 100% sure.polkaudio RT35 Bookshelves

Naah. It isn't normal. I'll have to troubleshoot the amp ... could be the volume control itself, hopefully, and that might be easily fixed.

call Polk Audio customer service and see if they know what the problem might be.. volume knob might be bad or something. it's not normalPolkFest 2012, who's going>?

I have a PSW250 in my system and also connect it using the line in on the back of the sub. I do this because it allows me to control my subwoofer volume from my amp. But turning the volume knob on the sub still controls the output of the bass. Must be a problem with your volume knob because it should work regardless of if there is a high level or low level signal coming in. Good luck.AVR - Yamaha Aventage RX-A800
