I've been inspired by Darla/Wingnut's new TT thread so this is her fault. :D

I don't recall how this happened but for 7-8 years I've been dragging around my cousin's "Pioneer Full-Automatic Stereo Turntable PL-670 DC Servo/Direct Drive." Speed: 33 and 45. Excuse me for my ignorance, I know nothing about turntables. The "arm" is labeled "DRA" for Dynamic Resonance Absorber. The cartridge (?) has "T4P" on the side. The rubber "plate" (?) looks to be in good shape.

Besides a severe case of dust bunnies and the dust cover having a verticle crack at the front, the unit seems to be working mechanically. I can't test it fully because I don't have a phono preamp. Other than that little wrinkle, please educate me on what I should do to get it operational. Incidently/accidentally, I have 30+ albums and tons of 45's.

I will likely pickup a Harmon 3380 or 3480 for a small bedroom/office to mate with my unemployed LSi9's. I would like advice on the following.

1. Cleaning.
2. Link to a TT website for background knowledge.
3. Where to get parts online.
4. Where to get parts locally (DFW).
5. Whether to give up and just go buy a Rega P1 instead. However, I would like to avoid this option for now.

Thanks in advance.
