There are significant differences in build quality between the 19 and the 22. Of course, I don't know how different they sound.

This tube int. amp appears to be very well built for the price. Wow. I'll bet this Bada sounds as good, if not better, than the comparable 2-channel receivers from Harman Kardon, Marantz, or Outlaw. I actually like the fact that the Bada doesn't have a tuner.

That's most likely because of the different transport.
CTC BBQ Amplifier, Sonic Frontiers Line3 Pre-Amplifier and Wadia 581 SACD player. Speakers? Always changing but for now, Mission Argonauts I picked up for $50 bucks, mint.

Really why no tuner will improve sound quality?
To be honest its really tempting price wise the outlaw i going for 650 now. Not sure of the shipping price i'll have to email them. My only question is i've got absolutely no experience with tubes. It is supposed to be some kind of hybrid how long do those tubes last? What will be the big difference in sound quality over the Outlaw 2150 which i'm almost sure i'll get in november?

Oh let me add i'm looking at the lsi9's or the Era D5's(demos) might even add a pair of dynaudio's for spring looking to send my neighbour insane lol.

A tube hybrid usually means it has a solid state power supply in lieu of a tube regulated power supply. The tube life is a wash since they may last 1 week or outlive you and your children. Tubes typically last thousands of hours.

It's a personal preference. I don't use a tuner, so I prefer to keep it simple and have fewer electronics in the same box.

I think "Bada", is short for Badass. No personal experience but most seem to like them. Hybrid tube/SS (in the same chassis) can be a mixed bag sometimes, but nothing like getting your hands on it to see for yourself.

On a preamp, yes. On an integrated, "hybrid" usually denotes that there's a tubed pre- section pushing a SS power section. No way they're getting 95 watts out of four 12AU7's :D

seems like a nice integrated for $500. Get a solid piece of equipment from a respected but less than run of the mill manufacturer, get your feet wet into the world of tubes, good power enough to run most speakers, and a nice, shiny chassis to boot.

    Interesting, very interesting.

Yeah that sound a little over the top to me! Those wpc specs. I'm not sure i'm up for hassle if this test does not work out since i'm living outside the states. But it looks quite tempting to say the least i'll see what else i can dig up on it.

I will give them one thing on appearance, they have a clean look - not the cheesy tube 'windows' enhanced with mirrors and led's.
