Velodyne DPS-12

Hey,

I own a Velodyne DPS-12 subwoofer, and I have been hearing about people hooking them up using a y interconnect cable. There are two rca inputs on the back labelled l and r /lfe, should I use a y cable to connect my amp to both inputs on the back of this subwoofer? It just seems odd to me that it would have a l and r input on it.

Thanks

normal, older subs/ pre ht only had L/R and/or speaker level inputs. for these, I use a 2 male rca to 1 female Y cable then run a male to male to the Y cable and to the AVR sub out.

well, that makes sense...except this isn't an old subwoofer. 6 months maybe. one of them (can't remember exactly which) has lfe written beside the letter. Does it offer any gain at all to plug in a y cable? Would it hurt anything at all?

The L input is the LFE input in that model.

Ok, so as of now I have a male to male rca cable going out of the lfe. Any benefits to putting in a y cable to both of those inputs and then my rca cable?
