What can I repair a surround with???

I picked up a set of 5B's and one of the passive radiators has a cut in the surround. What can I use to repair the cut with?

BTW I am new to this forum and currently own a set of 5B's and 7C's

You can try silcone, but I would look for a replacement. You can ask on Polk forum or check Ebay.

Thanks for the response. I will try the repair route first since they aren't my main pair of listening speakers. The 7C's I bought came with an extra pair of radiators, but they are 10". Perhaps someone would like to trade?

I have the same dilemma on one whole side of drivers on the SRS 2.3's I picked up last week. Needless to say, it looks like a cat crawled up the speaker grills to get to the top and the mids just helped out along the way. I may try something on the back of them as a temporary fix and ponder replacing the four (sigh) drivers. I heard something about using black electrical tape on the backside but I don't know.

i wouldnt think that electrical tape would do it, but silly-cone certainly could. for these, i would consider a very strong but pliant type like black RTV. as i ASSuME you have no structural problem and only need to seal the holes, the RTV could be applied very thinly so that it will remain flexible.
i can really see nothing wrong with repaired speakers as long as the repair doesnt affect the motor, aside from aesthetics. not quite the same thing, but i have been playing a P12N jensen in a guitar amp for over 10 years with a 1" paper-tissue-and-glue repair in the cone. it still sounds fantastic.
