A good friend bought a new house close by complete with the media room. He swang by the other day looking for advice on speakers, projectors, and general HT. I grabbed the RTi6's in my family room and hooked them up in the HT matched up with the rest of the equipment in my sig. The key I told him was not the big floor standing speakers like the LS90's, but a smaller quality speaker match with a nice sub. I subsequently hooked up the 90's to give him a comparison with provided a small, but noticeable improvement over the 6's. Either way, he was hooked on Polk and SVS. Another buddy tried talking him out of the SVS and go with the Sunfire Jr., but the floor shaking experience of the SVS was one he was not going to pass up. I just got back from his house with the whole HT hooked up. He ended up with the RTi12's in front, CSi5 center, and FXi5's on the sides. Back surrounds are a down the road upgrade. This is complimented with the 25-31 pc-plus pulling sub duties. This system rocks for HT! For video, he's running an Infocus IN76 on 110" screen. This is a very bright picture. Watching football with a good amount of ambient light did not noticable diminish the PQ.

Finally, kudos the folks at Polk Audio. I won these RTi6's at a local Club Polk meeting and it has paid back big dividends in future sales for my favorite speaker company.
