I have a fairly long house, 100', and want to mount Atrium 65SDi under the eaves in the dual (or single speaker stereo) mode. Anyone have any suggestions on how far to space them apart!
I bought these speakers because I like the idea of having stereo sound near each speaker, rather than having to split the distance to hear stereo.
I'm just not sure how widely to space them, and thusly, how many speakers I'll need. I have two to start with.
Any ideas?

    Welcome to the forum!

The beauty of the 65s are the dual mode, so the distance between speakers matters a lot less than in single mode. So if you run them in dual, your focus is just sound coverage. So wider is okay. With only two speakers I probably would not go more than 25 feet though.

Having said that, if you plan on typically listening from one area, say a deck, then you should try and place the speakers close enough together so that the sound envelopes the lesting area. If they are too far apart you will be able to localize the sound which isn't ideal.

I run two in single mode about 10' apart and get good coverage of a large inground pool area. They are great speakers.

    Good luck.
