New to the sub thing

Okay I recently just upgraded from just using my tower speakers for bass to a Polk PSW10 now i am BIG in music and also BIG in movies but thats not the only catch i live upstairs with people that dont like that much bass if all"they usualy have the bose systems bass at -3 O MY" anyway i was woundering what would be the best location for my sub

    Okay but now for the hard part i need a good balance of bass for music and bass for movies but not to much and i dont want to have to get up and keep changing it.

    Set your sub volume knob to the 12 o'clock position.

    On the AVR (generally speaking):
    Set speakers to 'small'.
    Set sub to 'on' or 'yes'.
    Set crossover to 80Hz.
    Adjust sub level +/- to your tastes

    Most importantly, have fun experimenting.

    It will send the bass below 80Hz to the sub and your midrange on your front towers will sound better.
