While the SDA's are taken apart and in refurb/upgrade, I am using the Monitor 10B's. Two days ago I changed my 22-year-old CD player with a new Cambridge Azur 840C. All of a sudden, the SL1000 tweeters aren't shrill to my ears anymore! The speakers image better, everything is more open and musical. Absolutely amazing what a great source component will do.

Yeah. I had the same thing happen to me when I upgraded my 20 year old receiver to a new integrated amp and got a nice NAD cdp.
Works wonders!
But can you stop upgraditis? Do you want to?:D"Wish I didn't know now what I didn't know then." Bob Seger -
Upgraditis.....yep, I've got it bad now. I keep thinking McIntosh. That warm blue glow of the power meters. Mmmm, mmmm, mmmm.Polk SDA SRS 2
