Was just wondering if it is economically feasible/how much it would cost to get a laptop like this repaired:

P.S. I have a similar laptop (hp dv1000) but I NEVER use the internal LCD screen, I always use an external monitor.

buy a cheapo LCD monitor, keyboard and mouse and you have yourself a decent little PC.
I replaced the screen on my IBM x31 from another x31 that I bought for just parts. Total pain in the ****, very delicate, and rather expensive. But the ability to have a 3.3 pound laptop at college being a commuter is priceless. -
