Hey Guys,
I just had a quick question about my Mits. WD-62627.:D This is a 1080p set right? The only reason I ask is there is nothing in the manual that mentions anything past 1080i and nothing shows up on the screen past 1080i. However, everything you read about it literature wise says 1080p, and all the reviews say 1080p. I have had the set for about a year and a half or so, the only reason I have recently began to ask myself this question is because I hooked up my new Toshiba HD-XA2 about a month ago and I am not overly impressed with the picture. Don't get me wrong it's a great picture, but I think it could be a little better. I remember when I saw the set for the first time at a local Fry's, they had it sitting in the entrance and the picture was crystal. I have not been able to reproduce that picture. I have gotten close but not all the way. My picture can be a little grainy sometimes esspecially with blacks & dark blues, scenes outside at night or underwater. I am using HDMI cables (Monster 1000 series) hooked direct from DVD & Sat. to the HDTV. I also have the set hooked up through a Monster 1600 power conditioner. Am I missing something? A brain maybee! or is the picture I am getting now the best it's going to be? Is there a setting that maybee I don't have turned on or set up right on the set? Or do I need better cables? Please help I was under the impression this was a 1080p set but all I am getting is 1080i. Thanks in advance.........EFW:cool:
