Lets not drag this out on this forum, not right now. My heart and eyes are filled with tears for the lives changed today.

Everyone go home tonight, and be with friends and family, and let the ones you love, know you love them.

I hope this prediction of America is as true today as it was 60 years ago.

The results of having a free society, and religious fanaticism on the same planet at the same time.

This is going to be a long, drawn out affair.
We WILL prevail, however, it will not be easy or pretty.

Yesterday, I was simply floored, today I'm pissed, really pissed. I think Bush will handle up on this one.

I'm thinking our entire fleet of B52's, and carpet bomb the SOB's. I almost fisted my tv when I saw those **** jumping up and down, and dancing, and celebrating.....keep it up, keep right on dancing.

There is a real nice 3200Lb bomb we have, I forget the name....

Those morons in the middle east dancing around the streets really got to me. Not only are the military celebrating, but the women and children are as well. Look how they raise their children and it's no wonder things like this happen.

It's time to wipe out the streets, their ability to dance in the streets and the people who dance! The leaders, citizens and everything in existance over there must go!

George, on your way out, make a pitstop at Martin State Airport here in Baltimore and pick me up. I want to go blow them to bits with you!

Yesterday I couldn't even begin to grasp what happened.

Today, however, pissed doesn't even begin to describe it. I think that our current administration does possess the huevos to do what needs to be done and believe me, your military is ready and willing and to get the job done....Where is Ronald Reagan when we need him?

Anyway, my week of leave has been voluntarily curtailed and am waiting for orders (hopefully) to play my (albeit small) part.

    God Bless America

    What a nightmare.

I too hope Bush is ready to clean house, and swept the streets clean of those who are dancing, when I saw the celebration I was so f'ing mad. I am NOT interested in capturing these SOB's and bringing them to trial, carpet bomb the terrorist compounds wall to wall.

    GOD BLESS AMERICA::

Sad to say this has been going on for over a decade and our wimps in congress and senate never did what was needed to stop it. Like in the Iraq war, we couldn't find Sadam and I saw him on the news all the time. As of yet, our Government doesn't have the resolve to do what needs to be done to stop this. The last president couldn't keep his pants on long enough to get anything done.

We need to obliterate those who commit, and those who support these acts. People who are six feet under don't kill, trouble, or otherwise put peoples lives in jeopardy.

The American people need to support, and vote for officials that stand up for our country and what is right. A lot of what I see in office is a bunch of wimps that can't stand up for what is right anymore. Their own life is in such a mess that they don't feel they have a right to pass lawful judgement on anyone else. Their wives run the house, their children tell them what to do, no back bone. We need some more Ronald Reagans in office.

I pray Bush will have the will and resolve to do what needs to be done to make our country safe.

Another thing we need to do is cut down drastically on immigration to this country. We can't expect our values and standards to stand when we are so infilterated with people that have different values and are so indifferent as to how our freedom came about. Neither can we continue to stand when we have kicked God out of the schools, government, and in a lot of cases the home.

Our country reminds me of a banquet set up. We have a lot of people who want to eat but don't want to contribute. Stay in your own country and make it what we have made ours. Our freedom has been bought with the blood and sacrifice of many and I don't take it lightely.

    in shock, and deeply hurt.

I just got back from the NYC area late last night. I look(ed) at those towers on at least a weekly, and often a daily basis. Over the last fifteen years, I've worked anyplace from right next to them, to a few blocks from them, to a handfull of miles from them. For the last two weeks I've been directly across the river from them. You couldn't help look at them. They dominated the landscape. They did it in an overwhelmingly powerful, yet beautiful and majestic way.
Tues. morning at the last minute, instead of my usual drive toward the GWB (George Washington Bridge) from my office in Westchester, I was detored to do a quick job in northern NJ first. I was a bit annoyed at having to do the extra driving but.......

A friend and former workmate of four years has a brother who worked in the WTC as a broker. He's missing. A good friend of mine (who owns the local motorcycle shop) works in downtown, near the Chrysler Building. It took me two days to find out he's ok. I have a sister in the DC metro area, she is of course ok, but what about the "next time"???

I'm still tring to deal with thoughts of the thousands of other people missing/murdered, and what their families are going through. It's hard to swallow.

Yes, I'm still in shock and deeply hurt, but I'm also very pissed-off!!! I hope all of America and the rest of the decent world is just as pissed-off!!! And I hope this feeling, the feeling most of us are feeling now, doesn't abate anytime soon. We've got to be prepared to be in this for the long haul. Never loosing site of what brought all this on, and how awfully sick this act against us is. We have to make it just about impossible for terrorists to be so orgainised, they have a "next time". American's have the fight in them now to tackle this. I just hope we have the stomach for it down the road.

I too am hot under the collar. However, SOME of my displeasure is directed at our own leaders.
Mr. Bin Laden declared jihad (holy WAR) against us long ago. Only NOW, does our government seem to hear what he said.
Yesterday, it was announced that Reagan National Airport should stay closed PERMANENTLY, due to its proximity to the D.C. area, and all our gov't offices and national monuments. So they interviewed some representative or congressman, or senator, and asked his feelings on that. His reply? "Well, we needn't rush to judgement. It is very CONVENIENT for our leaders to have Reagan National Airport so close to their offices and..."

Does this guy need his **** kicked or what? No more terms in office for that ****.

A day I will never forget for my remaining life. That said, I think to some degree the US has done well to train terrorists of other countries. We have and continue to provide training and technology to third world countries through facilities and educational institutions in this country. We sell technology to third world countries. We allow those individuals from third world countries to take refuge in this country. The biggest enemies of the United States, live right here with us in the United States. We are eating, living, and sleeping with the enemy each and every day.

Until we dramatically change the way we conduct business in the United States, the business of information and technological accessibility, the policies with which we let people into this country, implementation of discriminatory practices, we will continue to live with these threats and the very chilling possibility of more acts of terrorist activity.

No doubt about it. Talk about a very foolish and selfish answer! It makes you wonder what stagnent pool we get some of these reps from.

    fordjr,
You're right. We really have to take a good look at our policies of handing out visas and granting citizenship. We're helping too many scum bags who's only wish is to hurt us. We just make it too easy for them.

Oil my ****! Three decades ago we should have started REALLY investigating alternative energy. Does ANYBODY think that the same friggin' people who put us on the moon, COULDN'T figure out how to heat a house, or power a car with something other than gas and oil? ****! Big oil has a big interest in NOT developing alternative methods.

WE are the people with 2-4,000sq.ft homes and two big **** gas guzzling SUV's in each driveway.
WE are the people who took those rat **** and elevated them from camels to Mercedes-Benz's.

Well Scott, it's because WE have an incredible thirst for oil. WE are the ones who insist upon driving tanks instead of fuel efficient vehicles. WE are the ones who insist upon having palaces for homes. A simple trip around the globe will reveal that just about the rest of the world has a TOTALLY different lifestyle than we do. Modest homes (for the most part) and REALLY modest cars. As long as WE demand what amounts to an upscale lifestyle, the oil people are going to do their best to be THE ONES that satisfy that demand.

The best example of OUR ignorance was in the early 80's. Gas prices were rising, so a bunch of people started buying small cars to get back and forth to work. But then "off-road" vehicles came on the scene, and the same people who bought those small cars to save gas during the week, made up for it by off-roading on the weekends. Can you THINK of something dumber?

As far as drilling in Alaska...it would be nice if future generations of Americans could actually still see animals in the wild, rather than caged up in zoos.

Now of course, it's not only us. The Asian male just has to have some of that very powerful rhinoceros horn powder to insure incredible sex. Doesn't matter that they have just about cleaned the planet of rhinos, they think the sex is great.
Don't get me started on the beating the elephants are taking simply because of the ivory trade. The human race has NOT learned how to really live in harmony with OUR PLANET. The animals and forests are taking it in the shorts. It's a sad, but true statement.

And as far as the fighting in the mideast, except for Iraq invading Kuwait FOR OIL, the fight is about one god having a different name than the other. And THAT type of fighting, has killed more people, than ALL THE WARS, NATURAL CATASTROPHE'S, AND PLAGUES COMBINED. Another sad, but true statement. Don't tell anybody what your gods name is, and you should be okay. This may alienate some people (Me? Imagine that!), but the minute somebody comes at me with ORGANIZED religion, baby, I head the other way on all burners.

9/11 has been on my mind alot today as it has for many people I imagine. As horrific an event as it was it brought the citizens of our country and many other countries of the world together in a common bond that has not been repeated since. US citizens rallied around the common good of the people of America and reached out to help one another. Political differences were largely set aside for a brief time to rebuild and heal the country.

I would like each of you to take a moment if you haven't already to think about the Americans who lost their lives and the families that were torn apart that day. God bless the the USA....
