Does anyone know what model Polks are in this CL ad below? Monitor 10?

The owner says one of them is missing the large passive driver - do you know what driver model it would be or if it is still available from Polk?

Thanks for the help.

Yea, what he said but I would buy them for parts at the very least.
CTC BBQ Amplifier, Sonic Frontiers Line3 Pre-Amplifier and Wadia 581 SACD player. Speakers? Always changing but for now, Mission Argonauts I picked up for $50 bucks, mint.

I'd rather piss on a spark plug than buy it.

There are some folks in the spark plug world that dig the vintage Peerless tweeter. Been here long?

That wasn't directed at you Cambir.

I would personally buy them and part them out. What you choose to do is up to you.

understood. not sure if I want to part-out, but I figured it was worth a shot to see if it might be worth the effort to salvage.

Sometimes you'll see a passive pop up on Ebay from a pair parted out but they are one too few and far between.

Right. Polk doesn't sell them, so the used market is the only place you'd find one. Probably from someone parting out.

get them.. i think those are monitor 11's if i'm not mistaken... they don't come up for sale to often.

I've seen some passives come up on rare occasions.. but still. might be worth getting them...and praying that a 12" passive is located. those tweeters don't look like peerless original ones.. they've been replaced it looks like.

The peerless I hear is a wonderful tweeter. If you already have vintage Polk, trying out those peerless (through swapping parts) would be very inviting.

now i'm stumped.. now those don't look like monitor 11's according to the link you gave. they almost appear to be some sort of SDA with that kind of passive. I think in the SDA's Polk used 12" and 15" ones. In the monitor series there were different sizes of passives used.

They could be SDA 2's actually.
