Today was a good day !

Today was a good day...it started and ended better than most....and alot better than the last many weeks.

I started the day wiping the sleep outta my eyes as I walked into my newly decorated office, as the coffee brewed up, and the first thing my sleepy eyes see ?....the warm glow of tubes, and the red and blue lights of my gear in the bad-a$$ Adona Rack...

I couldn`t help but smile to myself....as I looked around the room, I thought to myself.."it`s gonna be a good day".

At work I just took it as it came , and didn`t take anything too serious, got my work done, and at 3 on the dot dropped my pen and came home..

Walked right into my office, and the warm glow of tubes was here just waiting for me to put some sound through them....

which I did !
Man she sounds good !

I sat down in my chair and turned around to look at my monitor, and Polk`s Forum was on my screen waiting for me to see what`s up with the world..


Today, life is good...!

    Depends...
    If I know I won`t be listening for a few days , I power her down..
    I usually keep it hot all week end though

    The Cary has an off/standby/operate knob, and a operate/mute switch, the jolida has a function were you can keep the tubes hot on standby, then switch to operate....the XM reciever is powered down after every session, and the Parasound is turned off every night except on the weekends (dual mono design/dual power supplies)

    I want to keep everything as new/fresh as possible after the initial break-in, so I try not to leave everything on all the time....It just sounds better the longer it`s been on.....tubes, go figure !!

    Today life is SUCK. First day back at work after spending several days in Key West and Nassau. 38 voice messages and 197 emails...most of which were total BS and a waste of my time listening to and reading them. :(

    Yep, I've always left the sand gear powered up 24 x 7. I'm finding I like to leave the tube gear I recently acquired powered up too. I noticed that even if I turn the tube gear on in the moring and listen at night it doesn't sound as good as when it is on all the time.

    I don`t think she will be powered down for quite some time, as it`s been many, many weeks since she was up and running..
