So i decided to "borrow" my parents junky record player becuase a sh*ty one is better then none at all right? Well needles to say its not very good but from the few seconds per song when its not skipping or sounding funny the imaging seems to be far superior to anything ive listened to. Long winded story short can anyone help me repair the turntable?
The sound is well, it sounds like half the signal is coming thought to the reciever. hard to describe, maybe like your trying to listen to it through a wall. Any ideas?
Also, the records skip here and there. Not and specific pattern, sometimes backwards, sometimes forwards. any ideas how fix it?
Any help would be appreciated!
P.s. im considering buy this, has any one seen/heard it? would it be worth buying it for an entry level novice like my self?

I have only a few weeks experience with a TT, but from what you say I think one of your problems must be tracking force. But I'll let the experts chime in._________________________________________________

dude... i think you need a new needle... a new needle will help the tracking, and sound tons better. seriously.

It sounds like it needs some overhaul, yes, tracking force, cartridge alignment, clean the needle, at least for starters. You may find that a new stylus is in order, I would not play the records with it like that as you can damage them.
